Basic question. In the top of the JoomlaChicago Group Forum section, why does My Profile > Contact Info > Password have a password at all?

The question mark help icon tells what a valid password might look like, but it does not say why I should need one or how it might be used. I suppose it differs from the login password to get to the forums at all... Anyway, please explain. TIA.

I am not 100% sure of your question, but I will explain the websites passwords.

There is only one password needed for the website and that is the password you used to logon with.

Our website is using Community Builder ( CB ) as the main component for userid and passwords. The Forum is integrated into CB and as a result does not require a different password.

When you go into your profile there is a screen that allows you to change your password. You do not have to change it if you are happy with the password you have.
