Mission Statement 12 Months ago
Hi folks,

Thank you ALL for joining JoomlaChicago. We've had a bunch of incredibly hard-working volunteers, setting up and providing meeting space for Members at NO CHARGE (thanks, Acquity Group), making sure our Members are fed a delicious lunch (thanks Arc Technologies), ensuring our website doesn't crash and burn, and it's full of important content and functionality (thank you, Phil DeKoker and Mike Carson!).

Wow. I'm truly blown away.

Well, NOW that we've put a couple miles behind us in the rearview mirror, it's time to actually DEFINE what it is we do.

We need a MISSION STATEMENT. Being an OPEN SOURCE organization, it is only right that this process not be dictated from the Core Team, but from the MEMBERSHIP itself.

So, between NOW and February 1st, 2008 (I am a believer in tight deadlines, to get the best work), I am asking the Members, including Core Team, to provide a Mission Statement to this forum, for all to view and discuss.

I ONLY HAVE TWO CRITERIA:

1. Keep it simple.
2. Keep it SO simple, you can memorize it if asked to repeat it - after two glasses of wine (or other favorite beverage).

So have at it, JoomlaChicagoans - this is your chance to define the over-arching mission of the User Group itself.

Together, we'll narrow it down to THREE ideas - and we'll vote on the FINAL choice at the February Meeting (February 13th, 2008 at Noon in Chicago).

Thanks! Have fun!

sorry, You are this question in another post and that where I made my reply to the mission statement.
I will go find it.

I found it. Here it is ...
