Training Room Registration Extension 8 Months, 1 Week ago
Hello,

I'm looking for a training room scheduling/registration extension that will work with Joomla 1.5. Anyone have any suggestions?

The extension I'm currently looking at is DT Register, http://www.dthdevelopment.com/content/view/35/56/. It is not updated for Joomla 1.5 though.

Thank you,
Justin Kuehlthau

I got an email today stating that DT Register is in beta for working with Joomla 1.5. I guess I'll use that if no one has a better suggestion?

Thank you,
Justin Kuehlthau

So... When is DT Register going to support Joomla 1.5??

If I had a dollar for every time I've heard that lately.... WE ARE RELEASING OUR 1.5 BETA VERSION NOW! The current DT Register for Joomla 1.5 is based on the 2.1.4 version of DT Register. We have done limited testing on it, but so far, it is looking good.
We decided to go ahead and get this version released THEN add all of the new functionality of the new 2.2.0 version. We hope to have the 2.2.0 version ready in 1-2 weeks! However you can now go ahead and use this awesome component in Joomla 1.5!
For 1.5 use, be sure to get the JEvents 1.5 version. It is an Alpha release but works fine for the limited amount of JEvents that DT Register actually uses.

Justin,
We are currently also working on our Registration Pro extension for 1.5 comapatibility. Registration pro should be working in Joomla 1.5 legacy mode within the next 2 weeks.

Hello,

Do you have any examples of it in use? What is the Joomla Chicago website using?

Thank you,
Justin Kuehlthau

How's the upgrade coming? Any chance we could see it at the user group meeting this month, or a little demo after the meeting?

The updated copy is coming along very well. We should have a Joomla 1.5 compatible version of Registration Pro released this weekend. Baring any unforseen problems that is. So far our testing has only revealed a couple of minor bugs with some of the standard joomla buttons that are generated in the back end. But other than that we are doing well. It also looks very nice in 1.5 and our new design changes have made all the difference in the world. It looks like it belongs in 1.5.

I will have a copy on my laptop for anyone that wishes to check it out at our April meeting. I can actually demo all of my components for those who are interested. just let me know right after the meeting.

Thanks
Mike Carson
