EXPO Feedback 3 Months, 3 Weeks ago
Well we had 251 attendees at the EXPO. We have heard a lot of great feedback about the event. The hotel was very nice. The food was great! The people were awesome!!!

Tell us about your experiences. What was your highlight of the day? Strike any big deals? Meet someone through networking that was a great benefit for your business needs?
Let us know.

This was a great event! Everything was well run and all of the topics were great. I also attended the University on Saturday. I walked away with loads of usefull information. Let's keep this type of thing going.

I learned a lot...met some great people...bought some software and talked to some companies who would watch my back when I get in over my head with programming and security issues.

Plus it was FUN!

When are we doing it again?

Come to the June meeting to talk about 1/2 day trainings, quarterly.
John and I are planning another 2-day Expo in November in Denver. Let me know if you'd like to be on the "email" list.
And you know the buzz was so great about this one, we'll do another one in Chicago next spring/summer!

Re:EXPO Feedback 3 Months, 1 Week ago
Loved the Expo! Met some nice people that I am working with in relation to our business. We're getting there and the Expo certainly helped with some good information.

I would have to say that I believe some of the topics were a bit too "involved" for just 1 hour. I think that something like "how to build a template" could have been done in 2 sessions instead of one. It could have been far more useful than trying to have things shoved into an hour.

The other 2 things relate to timing and evaluations.

The evaluation form was off. The tracks weren't setup properly. The form should have had 10 am - presenter 1 against 10 am presenter 2. Instead it listed both track 1 or both track 2 people. I think it was a bit confusing. I did the best I could to fill in the evaluation.

The other problem was timing. I believe that things should start on time and end on time, or you alter the times to accommodate. The welcome speech ran a bit long and started late. The keynote speaker, while a good choice, it ran a little long as well and, frankly, was not really on a topic key to the Joomla! Expo. That made it difficult for the next speaker to deliver his whole topic in time. I knw he was rushed and had to cut out some of his speech. The rest of the speakers seemed to time it just perfectly and things ran smoothly in the sessions.

Now, for the positive, the information presented was very good and I enjoyed what I got out of the Expo. I'll be looking forward to it in the future here in Chicago or elsewhere. I'm sure that these minor issues could be resolved and would make for an even better Expo in the future!!!
