Join The JoomlaChicago Forum

A couple weeks back, the JoomlaChicago Forum was temporarily taken down, as the software provider (FireBoard) was no longer an active project. There were numerous issues with FireBoard (including unsolved security issues), so an alternative was sought, and we temporarily disabled FireBoard.

Today, there's good news to report: A team has forked the defunct FireBoard Forum project, made revisions, and re-branded the forum as "Kunena." As they report on their site, "Kunena" is the Swahili word for "To Speak." Thanks to the new team members of Kunena for stepping up to run this much-needed Open Source app!

Kunena

See Kunena info here, and download it for your own site.

So, if you're a member of JoomlaChicago, and you're logged in, you can now access the JoomlaChicago Forum again, complete with a fresh set of Kunena sheets now on the bed. Mmmmmm, comfy. See what you think. If you have any suggestions for further improvements on the site (or want to get involved), don't hesitate to let us know.

Go Ahead, Make a Comment (fresh comments go on top)
Want to Comment? Great, but due to a ton of comment-spam (mainly by our friends at a certain boot manufacturer to remain nameless), you now need to be logged in to comment. We know, it's a pain in the butt, but no worries, it's free to register and you'll be glad you did anyways.
