One resource that I've found helpful is "Building Websites with Joomla! A step by step tutorial to getting your Joomla! CMS website up fast" (Birmingham: Packt, 2006). It covers a lot of territory. I'm wondering if other people have thoughts (pro/con) on the Packt book. And do you have other resources to recommend? I'm particularly interested in material that I can recommend to new users of the Joomla! CMS. We generally generate custom user guides for our clients, specific to their site, but I would like to expand my knowledge of available resources to provide to clients.
Thanks - I've gone to the Barry North site you recommend and they provide a free download of a chapter, so I'm checking that out. This Barry North fellow seems like a significant resource!

I am now a JCDA Registrant. I remember when Barry was pretty cheesed off about the whole licensing issue. Frankly, I haven't followed up on it at all recently. We'll have to start a thread on that issue.

You won't be admitted most likely unless you are a commercial developer.
But it would be a good ide to start a thread on the issue.
We've all been following it very closely and have pretty much figured out the reasons behind it.
