After attending today's meeting, I thought I would be a great idea to have a formal evaluation of Joomla and Drupal. I'm willing to jump in and do the Drupal evaluations. I've never used Drupal before so I would have no preference for that CMS.
GENERAL IDEA
Pick 3 types of websites (basic, e-commerce, other??)
Create a Drupal and Joomla site for each category. They would all have the same layout, content and server. The template design would come from a graphic. We would evaluate the following (feel free to add):
Installation process
Out of Box Qualities
Template Creation/modification
Expandability
etc.
Thoughts????

Sounds like a great plan, to get to the root of how Joomla performs, vs. Drupal and other CMS solutions out there.
